The Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) Conference 2017 marked our first company annual event at the Ottawa Marriott during 18th - 20th September 2017. 

The WPAC Conference and AGM is the largest gathering of Canadian wood pellet industry, where we met with hundreds of wood pellet, biomass and bioenergy professionals from across North America., Europe and Asia, to discuss the issues that are having an impact on the industry.

Conversation were centred around challenges in wood pellet world and how the industry is changing, the collaborative talks were a great way to get to know and learn from each other. 

We heard about new research and development that is improving the science of biomass. We visited Canadian regional operations currently operating in the wood pellet industry. We met companies that are producing the most innovative technologies for wood pellet production. Surely, we also networked with peers and colleagues from across the broad spectrum of the international wood pellet industry.

It was a great opportunity for us to learn about the technologies and the most important issues from industry experts around the globe. The renewable world is changing, our customers’ awareness is changing and we are changing with it – follow us closely over the next 2 years to see us crop up in new places, in new guises and join us to become part of Scotland success story.
